Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, preferred contact method and the information you provide about the job. We also record your consent to use those details to answer the enquiry.
Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical information, such as IP address, request time, browser details and security logs, to deliver and protect the website. Microsoft Azure Communication Services may also process information to deliver enquiries.
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a message.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry information to:
- respond and discuss the requested work;
- take steps at your request before agreeing any work;
- communicate in the way you select; and
- prevent spam and protect the form.
The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the business website, and consent where you actively agree to us responding through the form. You can withdraw consent, but this will not make earlier processing unlawful and may mean we cannot continue the enquiry through your selected channel.
Who receives the information
The website is hosted using Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. Form messages are sent using Microsoft Azure Communication Services and delivered to BHP’s Gmail inbox. These providers process information on our behalf under their own data-protection terms. Information may be disclosed where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, they are expected to use a recognised safeguard such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
General quote enquiries will be kept for no longer than 12 months after the last contact unless the information becomes part of a customer record, must be retained for legal or accounting reasons, or is needed to establish or defend a legal claim. Mick must confirm this retention period before launch. Provider security logs may follow the provider’s own retention schedule.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently set analytics, advertising or preference cookies, and no analytics tool is installed. A cookie banner is therefore not shown. If analytics or another cookie-using feature is added, this policy and the site’s consent controls must be updated before that feature is enabled.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to its use; receive portable data; and withdraw consent. Contact BHP using the details above to make a request. Identity may need to be verified before information is released.
